Alan Snyder, CEO

To his role as CEO, Alan Snyder brings a wealth of senior management and consulting experience that continues to shape BoxTone's revolutionary approach to BlackBerry email service quality and mobile user management. Throughout his professional career, Alan has been at the forefront of planning, designing, deploying, supporting, and expanding advanced business software and technology solutions for major corporations and government institutions. Before joining BoxTone, he served as President and CEO of Idea Integration, a business unit of MPS Group and multi-national provider of e-business development and integration solutions. In addition to leading the company through several successful acquisitions, he helped Idea generate $240 million in revenue in 2000 and eventually become the largest integration partner for BEA. Earlier in his career, Alan was a principal with IT consulting firm Perspective Technology, where he provided hands-on leadership to help successfully grow the company until it was acquired by MPS. He also served as a senior consultant at Accenture, where he developed and delivered IT solutions for Government Agencies. Alan received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Bucknell University.

James A. Keller, CPA, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jim Keller, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for BoxTone, has over 20 years experience in providing financial, administrative, and strategic leadership to global software development, consulting, distribution, manufacturing, and public accounting firms ranging from early-stage to established billion dollar corporations. Before joining BoxTone, Jim was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at EMAX Solutions, where he led all accounting, financial, strategic planning, IT, legal, and administrative functions. While at EMAX, Jim negotiated both the company's $8 million third round of equity financing and its eventual sale to SciQuest for $150 million. Prior to EMAX, Jim was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at International Consulting Solutions, Inc, supporting the company's growth from $5 million to $130 million in revenues in four years and preparing the company for acquisition by Deloitte and Touche. Jim is a graduate of Cleveland State University, where he received a BBA in Accounting.

Rusty Fiste, Vice President, Development

As BoxTone's Vice President of Development, Rusty Fiste, with more than 17 years of technology development leadership, has been a driving force behind the company's revolutionary user-level approach to BlackBerry service quality. Before joining BoxTone, he was Vice President of Engineering for Unwired Express, where he was instrumental in providing vision and leading the development of the company's core technology context engine. Investors cited Unwired's execution as superior among their portfolio companies for its timely, high-quality software releases. Rusty started his career as a co-founder and Vice President of Development at XDB, where he played a central role in creating the world's first PC-based SQL relational database. When XDB was acquired by Micro Focus, Rusty became Vice President of Development responsible for the overall strategy, technical architecture, and product delivery of all Micro Focus middleware and RDBMS technologies. Micro Focus merged with Intersolv to become Merant, where Rusty was Vice President, Product Development, driving cultural and process changes that resulted in accelerating product delivery as part of the new company's corporate vision. Rusty received an MS in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a BSE in Systems Engineering from Princeton University.

Brian P. Murphy, Vice President, Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Brian Murphy directs a sales team that translates BoxTone's BlackBerry email software solutions into business value for new and existing customers. Before joining BoxTone, Brian was Director of Sales, Southeast region, for BEA Systems, where he was responsible for the team charged with targeting new strategic accounts with more than $1 billion annual revenues. During his four years at BEA, Brian and his team consistently exceeded annual quotas by as much as 400%. Prior to BEA's acquisition of WebLogic, Brian was the first regional sales manager for WebLogic, where he developed the J2EE market in the Mid-Atlantic, closed the world's first EJB deal, exceeded his sales quota, and forged a number of key strategic partnerships. Previously, at Centura Software Corp, he started up the Eastern region for Centura's Web integration product, recruited partners, and consistently surpassed sales targets. As Business Development Manager at Perspective Technology, Brian directed business development initiatives, managed consulting services, and delivered consulting in the telecommunications arena. Early in his career, Brian identified, developed, and managed medical imaging sites for LocaSuez of Paris; he managed a sales team at Primerica Financial Services; and he was a field service engineer for Fonar Corp. Brian has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Biochemistry from Bucknell University.

Terence E. Shea, Vice President, Business Development

Terry Shea brings more than 17 years of systems management, IT services and wireless industry expertise to BoxTone. In his role as Vice President of Business Development, Terry continues to accelerate the company's efforts to make BoxTone the preferred enterprise-class monitoring software for technology vendors and systems integrators focused on BlackBerry email solutions. Prior to joining the company, he served as Vice President at Ecutel Systems, a wireless security and systems management software company, where he contributed to a 500% increase in sales year over year. Partnerships he developed and leveraged included Research in Motion, Verizon Wireless, and AT&T Wireless/Cingular. Prior to Ecutel, he was Senior Business Development Manager for BMC Software, Washington, DC, as well as Channel Sales Manager for Sterling Software. Terry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. He is also a member of the Mobile Enterprise Alliance.

Brian C. Reed, Chief Marketing Officer

As BoxTone’s Chief Marketing Officer, Brian Reed brings more than 16 years of experience in strategy, product, and marketing in the technology industry. Brian oversees the strategic direction and positioning of BoxTone, including market strategy, go-to-market activities, product marketing, product management and marketing communications. Prior to BoxTone, he was the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Cesura, where he helped reposition the business and transition the product portfolio to a managed service (MSP) and drove rapid new market entry in the SAAS, Web 2.0 and on-demand marketplace through innovative marketing techniques. Prior to Cesura, the was the Vice President of Marketing and Exective Member of Board of Directors at FormScape (now BottomLine Technologies), where he led the innovation of the new market category for Document Process Automation and drove value to achieve successful investor exit of 5X. Brian’s prior experience includes Vice President of Product Management and Marketing roles at DataDirect Technologies (now Progress Software), MERANT and INTERSOLV – all industry leaders in enterprise-grade middleware and application development tools. Additionally Brian served in technical management roles at Q+E Software and TTS. Brian is also founder and principal of ReedCMOAdvisory -- a boutique firm focused on creating category leaders and revenue machines, acting as an advisor to several technology companies and currently serving on the Board of Directors of two early stage companies. Brian is a BME/EE graduate of Duke University and a member of the CMO Council.
